About the event
Calling all Specialty Crop Growers!
Do you grow vegetables, flowers, mushrooms, seeds, Christmas trees, nursery stock, or any other specialty or niche crop for market? There is a rare opportunity being offered through the USDA to get some financial support for these efforts in 2025, but the application period ends January 8. This work session at the Black and Brown Womyn Power Coalition is to help farmers quickly get those applications completed. In-person language interpretation is available in Hmong.
The event is being hosted by Ann Vang, Executive Director of Central Rivers Farmshed in Stevens Point, and Pa Thao, Executive Director of Black and Brown Womyn Coalition in Eau Claire, and owner at Maiv Flower Farm. Both will be able to answer questions and provide assistance in Hmong/HMoob to get the paperwork completed.
