Irrigation for Fruit & Vegetable Growers

As climate change increasingly impacts agriculture in so many ways, it is unfortunately becoming riskier to rely on rainfall alone to grow profitable crops. On this field day, we will learn how to choose and design an irrigation system to effectively irrigate vegetable and fruit crops, as well as installing, operating and maintaining that system.

It can be a challenge to wade through all the various equipment types available, figure out application rates and the pros and

cons of the various systems. Big River Farms has a variety of irrigation systems to evaluate, so come on out the beautiful St. Croix valley and this amazing incubator farm to learn from the farmers about what systems work best for them.
